We’ve been stuffing envelopes all week!

First shipments

The first Akoha Starter Kits are in the mail. We don’t know exactly when they’ll show up in mailboxes, but we’re pretty confident that the postal service will get them to you.

I wrote a little message on the first four envelopes for testers who test-ordered from us. Then my hand cramped up. (Ow.) But we still want to thank all of you for playing Akoha and sending us your feedback!

We’ll be stuffing more envelopes and doing more shipments soon. Although we can’t promise exactly when they’ll show up, don’t worry, we’re working as fast as we can!

Please, please, please send me one. I promise I’ll say nice things about you on my blog. Okay, I probably will anyways, but you don’t have to sign my envelope!

Hi Dave, we are releasing kits & beta invites as soon as we can. If you’ve signed up for a kit it’s on it’s way soon.

This is a cool idea; hope it kicks off as expected.

I ordered mine as part of the Inquisitr promotion, but still haven’t got it – are there still more yet to be shipped or have I missed out?

I was laid off from my job on Monday, with the third of the company (American recession first victims). When I got home, the Akoha envelope was in my mailbox. I knew something good was cooking ;-)

Very cool idea. So I got my cards. Obviously, I do what it says. “Invite someone for coffee” or whatever. What do I do next? How do I “play it forward”? Do I give the card to someone else and let them join the game? That part isn’t clear in the “How to Play” section.

Yes, that’s what you do! Check out our comic to learn more.

I really want some!!! How can I get my hands on some of these cards? This is such a cool project.

I just applied. :-) I know that I will get to play sooner or later and I am excited. This is the kind of “game” that can make the world a better place.

I received a pack of Akoha cards. I went to your website and my first question is, how does your company make money? How do I know you’re going to be in business in a year or two? Seems like an interesting idea, but I don’t really want to invest my time if the company is just going to disappear.

@AkohaUser Thanks for your question. Right now we are in beta so we are still improving the site and taking our users feedback. We look forward to your feedback on the site.

Our business model will follow the some known gaming models that will include sales of decks of cards, some sponsors promoting decks and ultimately some premium features for subscribers.
We hope the experience of sharing your Akoha missions with friends & strangers gives you some enjoyment. Our focus is making this experience enjoyable to a broad base of users before we start focusing on commercializing our userbase.

well this sounds pretty cool! A fun way to do nice things for people, whether you know them already or not. Kinda like staying in touch with family and friends by writing them an unexpected letter!
